New tires often aren't ready to hit the racetrack right away. More often than not, the tread patch isn't flat on the ground and has a ballooned shape, and we've often seen new tires come out of round from the factory.
Tire cutting (blueprinting) fixes this: more speed, less weight, and the most out of your tread patch. Most modern treaded tires are also too big for the junior divisions, and tire cutting helps with that too.
